Buttery toffee and a squeeze of lime.
Dipilto, Nueva Segovia
White Grape, lime acidity and a pleasant toffee finish.
Ever wondered what would it be like if your family went into business with the family over the road? Well don’t worry, because this is nothing like that. The partnership between the Hueck Figueroa & Poncon Guier families is a beautiful thing, a long term union that’s been producing amazing coffee for years.
Seeing that they had something special going on, we bought the farm in 2005 and have since worked with the two families to develop new varieties like Hybrids H3 and Marsellesa (while keeping the Caturra and Bourbon strands). All of these varieties benefit from the rich, sandy soil, the high altitude (1,200 metres above sea level) and the shady glades created by the native flora.
But what do you get out of it? You get a single origin with the sharpness of a freshly cut lime and the buttery sweetness of toffee. You’d be a fool not to.
