Over the last few week’s we’ve been experimenting with a brew method to make cold brew easily at home, and we think we’ve cracked it.
Firstly prepare the cold brew, we used Brasil Daterra Sweet Collection from the Roast to Order menu which worked really well.
With Freshly ground coffee:
120g of coarse coffee per litre of water
Stir slightly to wet all the coffee grounds
Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours
Filter using a chemex
Serve over ice
We would always recommend using freshly ground coffee where possible. We did a number of experiment brews with our pre ground coffee and found that if you are using pre ground the brew time would come down drastically, to around 4 hours. But play around with the brew time, see what works for you.
