Can you have rainforests at high altitude? Frankly we don’t know! But if the North-Central Guatemalan flora of Finca Santa Paula isn’t one, then our name isn’t Grumpy Reginald Leonard Marvin Mule the Third*.

But the whole soggy/high-up thing happens to be GREAT for the quality and flavour of the coffee beans we source from the region. There’s a lovely sweet, full-bodied spicy-ness to the brew that’s a neat twist on the classic Guatemalan flavours we’ve come to know and love. But – and especially for those who like to know about these things – we actually dry this coffee in Santa Clara in Antigua, just because the warmer climate allows the still cherry-seeded coffee to dry more quickly – ensuring it doesn’t spoil by being too exposed for too long.

For every bag you buy, you’ll help contribute towards an annual donation to the school in the local community that the Pocola coffee comes from, while we’re also actively working with farmers in regards to developing other varieties too. The best excuses you’ll ever have for guzzling loads!
