OUR ROASTERY
The coffees that we roast have been delicately sourced, roasted and packaged with pride in our roastery, located just south of Huddersfield on the fringe of the Peak District.
Our roastery has been roasting coffee since 2000 on two Probat drum roasters and a Loring Kestral roaster.
OUR COMMITMENT
We source fairly and sustainably, making sure that our growers share in our success. We roast with precision and care, making sure that we get the very best flavour from each and every bean that our growers have worked so hard to produce. And then we sell, making sure our customers see the zealous gleam in the eye.

The who, not the where.
Our dedicated coffee team work rigorously to ensure all aspects of the coffee’s journey is second to none, from crop harvesting at origin, all the way to packaging the roasted beans before they make their way to you.
Starting on the farm, we are proud to say we have maintained relationships with farmers that began when the roastery opened its doors.
This gives us ample opportunity to showcase their coffees in the light it deserves, while continually working with
them year on year to see their
coffee quality improve, make slight changes with how the beans are harvested and processed, and to see the positive impact our continued business has on them back at origin.
Our coffee team are regularly sent small quantities of green beans, either from the farms we continue to have relationships with, or something new and upcoming they think we would like. We are also able to request specific beans to fit customer preferences. These
samples are then roasted, following a rigorous and complex mastery, then tasted and tested to see if they can be used within our range of coffee blends.
Once the team have decided which coffees they want to use, the delicate roast profile of each bean is then amended to fit the larger machinery on our production floor.
