This kick-ass coffee hails from the highlands of San José de Lourdes in Northern Peru, right up near the Ecuadorian border. It’s a thriving spot for top-notch beans, thanks to high elevation and steady rainfall that make the growing conditions just right for producing sweet, complex coffee. The smallholder farmers who grow this coffee face their share of challenges, from unpredictable weather to tough market access, so getting a fair deal is everything.
Back here in Yorkshire, we’ve roasted it respectfully to bring out the sweet, clean flavours that make this region a standout. We think it's a perfect example of what this part of Peru has to offer, and ideal for the cold winter days ahead.
