Respect for coffee farmers and our local community
Fair Prices
We pay Fairtrade prices for all our coffee. That means when the market dips, farmers still get a fair deal with the Fairtrade Minimum Price. Plus, they get a little extra - the Fairtrade Premium - so they can choose how to invest in what matters most to them.
Support where it's needed
Peru
Food security. More income streams. Better schools. Healthier communities. The extra we pay for this coffee backs the Café Feminino Coffee Project at CECANOR, where it’s grown, processed, and traded by women, and only women.
Honduras
In La Labour, coffee isn’t just a crop, it’s a lifeline. It’s how folks make their living, and now, with this coffee, they’re diving into beekeeping too. That means more bees buzzing around, which means more biodiversity, better shade, more coffee, and more income for the farmers.
Colombia
La Planadas has had its share of rough patches, with violence throwing hurdles in the way. But here’s the bright side - this coffee has been a game-changer, funding the construction of a testing lab that helps check and boost quality. Better quality means more cash in the pockets of producers. Simple as that.
Sumatra
Aceh Province is like the last wild frontier where orangutans, rhinos, elephants, and tigers still roam free. With this coffee, you’re helping keep this incredible region thriving and wild, preserving its unique charm for generations to come.
our sister charity
Did you know 80% of coffee farmers live in poverty? That’s where our parent company, Cafédirect Group, steps in. They give at least £100,000 a year to Producers Direct, a charity they set up in 2009. They’re all about boosting farmers’ incomes by up to 50%.
Peak District Foundation
For every kilo of High and Mighty you grab, 20p goes straight to the Peak District Foundation. Last year, that added up to £47,000. They’re all about making the Peak District accessible to everyone. They’re also big on conservation, making sure the ecosystems keep thriving.
Barista Training Programme
We share our skills. Our barista trainers are out in the community, passing on their know-how to help folks land jobs. We’re especially focused on supporting those who are neuro-diverse or long-term unemployed.
In The Community
We make sure we give back to our community. We fundraise and hold community events to get involved where it’s helpful. Local sports events, donating coffee chaff or pitching in with coffee hamper donations.
